Patient Care Coordinator Full Time Job Overview:
As a patient care coordinator, your primary responsibility is to create a positive first impression for patients and provide efficient administrative support via phone, email and in person. You will serve as the initial point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Management:
Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor. Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate individuals. Manage the reception area to maintain a tidy and organized appearance.
Patient Assistance:
Assist patients with inquiries, providing information about the company and its services.
Administrative Support:
Schedule and manage new and returning patients by email, phone or text message. Direct patients to appropriate points of contact.
Communication:
Relay messages to employees promptly and accurately. Respond to emails and inquiries in a timely manner. Maintain a professional and courteous tone in all communication. Answer the phone and direct questions/concerns appropriately. Marketing to surrounding businesses Marketing Events as needed
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve issues or concerns raised by patients, escalating as necessary. Handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
Required Qualifications:
Experience using EMR software
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus (i.e. medical assistant certification, phlebotomy or equivalent) Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role - preferably in a medical office setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using office equipment, including phone systems and computers. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Willing to learn and expand on services and products offered in clinic. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Professional appearance and demeanor.
