Posting Title Director, Undergraduate Clinical Partnerships & Placements Overview This individual must be at a minimum BSN-prepared, MSN preferred, with an active license as a registered nurse, able to lead efforts to secure sufficient placements and clinical preceptors for all undergraduate clinical rotations and contribute to continued CSON undergraduate program stability as noted in "I" above. Supervises the Program Manager for Clinical Partnerships and Placements and works collaboratively with the Contracts Specialist in the Dean's Office on clinical contracts and part-time faculty contracts. The successful incumbent will demonstrate emotional maturity, keen organizational skills, and leadership skills to ensure continued departmental functioning with a specific focus on expanded clinical site partnerships and secured clinical placements for all BSN nursing students' clinical rotations. student clinical placements, and supervises the program manager for clinical partnerships and placements in this work.

Partners with the CUA Office of General Counsel to implement appropriate memoranda of understanding.2. Collaborates with healthcare facilities to offer appropriate undergraduate clinical experiences for upper-division CON nursing students3. Evaluates clinical agencies to ensure effective clinical placements.4. Evaluates clinical instructor performance; extends or severs engagements. 5. Develops proficiency in using Castlebranch and Exaat as the method for securing clinical placements at healthcare facilities and teaches section personnel as necessary. 6. Directs and engages with the Clinical Placement Specialist at each agency, clinical preceptors, and faculty to assure quality clinical sites and student placements for clinical rotations. 7. Assures adherence to budget parameters in concert with the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Program8. Evaluates personnel and section function annually against goals and objectives, and revises operations as necessary to ensure goal achievement. 9. Visits clinical sites at least once each academic year, engaging leadership in the agency in support of the

Oversees recruiting, hiring, securing, and onboarding of clinical instructors to oversee student clinical rotations; oversees personnel evaluations assuring instructor suitability for continued engagement with the

CSON. 11.

Projects the annual number of clinical groups for each course lab, plans group clusters and sites, and participates in assigning instructors 12. Establishes standards related to training/orienting/on-boarding for clinical instructors and preceptors, and establishes standards of performance for section personnel such as conducting a minimum of one (1) Town Hall meeting per semester, completion of attestation forms, orienting to processes related to students unable/unwilling to meet clinical rotation experiences. 13. Supports clinical simulation as needed, such as student completion or a clinical makeup day.14. Actively links with the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs regarding student clinical rotation matters and any student issue brought to the attention of the clinical preceptor.

The impact of this role is significant in advancing the student experience and maintaining student academic sequencing. Failure to provide sufficient clinical placement opportunities may result in insufficient clinical hours, which may interfere with student graduation timelines. As well, a lack of sufficient clinical sites will jeopardize the CSON undergraduate program's success, reducing applications to the school, interfering with student course completion, and the like.
