Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Admissions Director to lead our patient intake and enrollment processes within our skilled nursing community. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire admissions operation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing a dedicated team, and optimizing patient flow to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare management, medical office administration, and team supervision, with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and compassionate patient engagement. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the admissions team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of patient service and operational efficiency. Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft to ensure accurate and secure patient data handling. Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and billing processes while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other health regulation policies. Implement best practices for patient management software and EMR/EHR systems to streamline workflows and improve patient experience. Monitor fiscal aspects of the admissions department, including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to optimize operational costs. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow from admission through discharge while managing acute care or hospital experience requirements as needed. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards and utilization management protocols while ensuring staff adherence to medical terminology and medical records policies. Foster excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally while managing complex medical administrative support tasks. Develop strategies for continuous improvement in clinic operations, staff development, and practice management initiatives aligned with healthcare practice management standards. Experience Proven supervisory experience in a medical office or healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership in managing teams as a healthcare practice manager. Extensive knowledge of medical office management system, PCC. Strong background in healthcare management encompassing fiscal management, budgeting, medical billing, compliance regulations (HIPAA), and health regulation policy knowledge. Experience working within hospital or acute care environments is highly desirable; veterinary or managed care experience is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential for success in this role. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across teams using managerial communication skills while fostering a positive work environment. Prior experience in office management within healthcare practices that emphasize customer service excellence and staff supervision.
