This approach will help streamline the patient experience, promote safety, and support clinical teams in delivering exceptional care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient outcomes through meticulous planning and team collaboration. Responsibilities Coordinate pre-operative assessments by scheduling appointments, reviewing medical histories, and verifying necessary diagnostic tests such as ICD-10 coding and laboratory results. Ensure adherence to hospital policies on infection control, sterile processing techniques, and long-term care regulations during all pre-operative activities. Requirements Proven experience working in medical offices or surgical settings with familiarity in Epic or similar EMR systems. Critical care experience or background in acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology principles, and diagnostic evaluation methods related to pre-surgical assessments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective team management and patient education. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring dementia or memory care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and long-term care standards is essential for compliance. Join us in making a difference by ensuring our patients' surgical journeys are safe, smooth, and supported by a dedicated team committed to excellence!
