$61.44 - $82.97 / hour Summary Provides support for the day-to-day oversight of clinical and distributive services through the effective management of pharmacy staff. Serves as a liaison to Nursing and Medical Staff to ensure and oversee the provision of safe, effective, and efficient patient-centered pharmacy services including but not limited to: medication acquisition, storage, security, preparation, and distribution. Represents the pharmacy department in matters concerning department operations. Responsible for assuring staff productivity and fostering an environment where pharmacy services are provided in an accurate, appropriate, and timely manner. Ascertains that assigned pharmacy staff members demonstrate a level of competence, professionalism, and customer service as defined and required by job performance standards and professional practice. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, applicable regulatory bodies, and policies and procedures of the health system and pharmacy department.
Requirements Education:
PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy Accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
Experience:
Experience as a staff pharmacist plus supervisory and/or clinical experience (to be evaluated on individual basis). Prefer 3 years as R.Ph. in a progressive hospital environment or completion of accredited pharmacy residency program. Completion of management, leadership, or supervisor training.
Certification:
BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required (must be obtained within first 90 days of hire).
License:
State of Florida Department of Health - Registered Pharmacist License.
Other:
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor, develop and motivate pharmacy team members to achieve optimal performance and execution of short and long-term goals. Ability to secure respect and trust from staff. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both individually and in a team environment utilizing effective problem solving and analytical skills
