Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Clinical Informatics and Business Intelligence serve as the operational leader of the medical group's Epic Systems ecosystem and all integrated applications. This role partners with practice leadership for maximizing clinical, operational, and financial outcomes through comprehensive Epic ownership, practice management system integration, and the standardization, automation, and optimization of clinical and administrative workflows. The Director combines deep technical expertise in data management and system architecture with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business intelligence. This position is matrixed with Senior Leadership, IT and Practice Management.QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of project/program management or analytics leadership experience preferred
- Clinical certification or equivalent healthcare work experience required
- Healthcare or insurance payor experience required (HMO, PPO, Medicare, ACA service offerings preferred)
- Strong knowledge of managed care environment (HEDIS, accreditations, risk adjustment) required
- Epic systems experience required
- Prior experience managing analytics and cross-functional teams is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to various organizational levels required
- Strong decision-making skills with ability to work proactively in fast-paced, high-stress environments with changing priorities required
- Ability to manage a team of analysts (8-12 people)
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and build effective relationships with business and IT required
