Job Description
SHR Talent is partnering with a healthcare client in Kissimmee, FL in its search for a Director of Surgical Services. This permanent, onsite leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced perioperative nursing leader who is passionate about driving clinical excellence, operational performance, and exceptional patient outcomes within a high-acuity surgical environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director will oversee all aspects of Surgical Services while leading a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma Center performing approximately 650-700 surgical cases each month. The Director of Surgical Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for a comprehensive perioperative services department that includes 13 Operating Rooms, 2 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVORs), Sterile Processing (SPD), Pre-Op/Post-Op, and Endoscopy. Surgical specialties include Cardiovascular, Trauma, Orthopedics & Spine, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and Vascular, supported by advanced robotic technology including Mako and three Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical systems. This leader will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement while ensuring efficient department operations and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a proven healthcare leader with recent acute care Surgical Services leadership experience, strong financial and operational acumen, and the ability to build high-performing teams. This individual will partner closely with physicians, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, expand surgical service lines, and support the organization's continued growth.
