Job Summary:
Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay is a healthcare company that provides Orthopaedic care and skilled physical therapy. We offer a full range of services for clients with Orthopaedic problems, work-related injuries, sports injuries, and various Orthopaedic conditions. We're looking for an enthusiastic and trustworthy Medical Legal Coordinator who is prepared to help OMGTB achieve its organizational goals. The ideal candidate will provide assistance to the Manager of Medicolegal Services, helping with managing the IME and CME process, and assist with our Workman's Compensation Department.Duties:
Scheduling all Independent Medical Examinations (IME) and Compulsory Medical Exams (CME) for all providers. Updating spreadsheets and scheduling . Daily communication with Law Firms on upcoming visits, potential exams, and new opportunities. Managing payments and outstanding balances for Legal work. Answering all questions pertaining to IME/CMEs, Records Reviews, Testimony, and expert witness work for the practice. Updating provider testimony lists. Constant communication with providers regarding upcoming exams, records, travel, and questions. Management of provider's schedules, calls, depositions, trials, and meetings regarding legal work. Assist the Workman's Compensation department with scheduling when one person is out of the office or work has exceeded normal volume. Assists with covering responsibilities and tasks of Manager when they are on leave or out of the office. Takes initiative with relationships and firms to promote and grow OMG's standing and reputation in the community.Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Legal Assistant/Coordinator, or Paralegal is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Legal experience required, 2-3 years preferred
- Knowledge of IME/CMEs, record reviews, testimony, and expert witness work preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using document management systems and other relevant software applications
- Attention to detail and accuracy with coordinating IME and CMEs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM but may vary. Occasional travel to various OMGTB locations may be required.Job Type:

$50,000.00- $55,000.
