Job Description

Patient Care Coordinator Position Overview:
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting the clinical team. This position is responsible for managing patient communication, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring a smooth flow between the front office and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and confident in discussing treatment and financial options with patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and accurately document treatment plans into Dentrix using appropriate ADA codes Answer incoming calls, emails, and text messages in a timely and professional manner Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring a positive experience Collect patient balances, co-pays, and outstanding payments Present treatment plans clearly and confidently to patients Educate patients on recommended treatment and answer questions Assist patients with financing options and help guide them through applications Support insurance verification processes as needed Coordinate scheduling to optimize provider productivity and patient flow Act as a liaison between front office and clinical team to ensure seamless communication Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
Previous dental office experience preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment planning Familiarity with ADA coding and dental software systems Familiarity with Dentrix Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable discussing finances and presenting treatment plans Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a positive, patient-focused attitude
