Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting the smooth operation of our medical or dental office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Experience in medical office settings and familiarity with medical terminology are highly valued. Duties Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record system Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service Verify insurance information and process billing or payments as needed Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination Manage correspondence, including sending reminders and follow-up communications Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management Requirements Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, practice management systems) Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism Experience providing medical administrative support is a plus
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
