Kids 1st Pediatric Dentistry is looking for an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Front Desk / Patient Coordinator to join our team. We are a growing pediatric dental and orthodontic practice serving families throughout the Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg area. We care deeply about creating an exceptional experience for our patients — from the very first phone call to the moment they walk out the door smiling. Our front desk team is the heartbeat of that experience. We're looking for someone who is warm, confident, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a busy environment while still making every family feel genuinely cared for. What You'll Be Doing As a Front Desk / Patient Coordinator, you will help create an organized, welcoming, and efficient experience for our patients and team.
Responsibilities include:
Providing an exceptional first impression in person and over the phone Scheduling and coordinating pediatric dental and orthodontic appointments Managing patient communication, confirmations, and follow-up Verifying dental insurance benefits and understanding coverage Discussing treatment estimates, payments, and financial arrangements with families Collecting payments and maintaining accurate patient accounts Coordinating orthodontic patients and appointments Maintaining accurate patient records Helping keep the schedule productive and organized Communicating closely with clinical team members and doctors Providing outstanding customer service, even during busy days Helping families feel welcomed, informed, and taken care of
What We're Looking For Required:
Dental front-office experience Pediatric dental and/or orthodontic experience strongly preferred Strong dental insurance knowledge Experience with scheduling, billing, payments, and patient accounts Excellent telephone and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Dependable and punctual Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems Big Plus Open Dental experience preferred Experience with Vyne is a plus Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese Orthodontic front-office or treatment coordination experience Experience communicating treatment and financial options with parents Someone who naturally looks for ways to help instead of waiting to be asked Who Will Thrive Here You may be a great fit if you: Love working with children and families Have a naturally positive and welcoming personality Take ownership of your responsibilities Notice the little details Can stay calm and organized when things get busy Communicate clearly and professionally Enjoy being part of a close, supportive team Want to grow professionally instead of simply "having a job" Believe an amazing patient experience starts before the patient ever sees the doctor Why Join Kids 1st?
