Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients, from the moment they enter our facility until their care is completed. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support within a medical or dental office setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology, enabling them to effectively assist both patients and healthcare professionals. THIS JOB IS FOR SERIOUS CANDIDATES WITH KNOWN EXPERTISE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AND SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE EACH OTHERS TIME.
Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time slots. Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health information systems. Provide administrative support by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing calls to appropriate staff members. Assist in the management of patient flow within the office to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure all necessary patient information is available for appointments. Educate patients about procedures, treatments, and follow-up care as needed. Handle insurance verification and coordinate with billing departments as required. Skills Proficient in office management practices, particularly within a dental or medical office environment. Strong knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with patients and healthcare staff. Experience in providing medical administrative support, including scheduling and record keeping. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
