Sunset Lake Surgery Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Registered Nurse (RN) Administrator/Manager to lead the daily operations of our AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center. This is a working management position. The successful candidate will actively participate in all aspects of the surgery center's daily operations—including patient care, staffing, and clinical support—and is expected to lead by example. This is not a desk-only administrative position. Position Summary The RN Administrator/Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Ambulatory Surgery Center, ensuring compliance with AAAHC accreditation standards, AHCA regulations, CMS Conditions for Coverage, infection prevention requirements, and all applicable federal and state regulations. The Administrator/Manager will oversee clinical operations, quality improvement initiatives, staff development, physician relations, and patient satisfaction while providing direct clinical support as needed. Essential Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Ensure ongoing compliance with AAAHC accreditation standards, AHCA regulations, CMS Conditions for Coverage, OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA (if applicable), and infection prevention requirements. Lead and participate in AAAHC surveys, AHCA inspections, and regulatory readiness activities. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise, mentor, evaluate, and develop nursing and clinical staff. Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, competency evaluations, and continuing education. Coordinate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and vendors to ensure efficient daily operations. Monitor quality assurance, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention, and performance improvement programs. Maintain emergency preparedness, medication management, and life safety compliance. Oversee supply inventory, purchasing, and equipment maintenance. Participate in budgeting and operational planning with ownership. Prepare, maintain, and submit all required federal, state, accreditation, and quality reporting in a timely and accurate manner, including

CMS, AHCA, AAAHC, NHSN

(if applicable), CLIA, infection control, quality assurance/performance improvement (QAPI), incident reporting, and other regulatory reporting requirements. Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory reporting. Hands-On Clinical Responsibilities This position requires active participation in the clinical workflow and includes, but is not limited to: Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation Intraoperative circulating nurse responsibilities PACU recovery and discharge of patients IV starts and medication administration Assisting physicians and anesthesia providers during procedures Patient education before and after procedures Assisting with sterile processing and maintaining instrument availability when needed Supporting front office operations, patient flow, and scheduling during busy periods Filling in wherever necessary to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient operations Qualifications Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of Ambulatory Surgery Center leadership experience Previous experience as an ASC Administrator, Clinical Manager, Nurse Manager, or Director preferred Demonstrated experience with AAAHC accreditation , AHCA regulatory compliance , and CMS Conditions for Coverage is required. Must be knowledgeable and experienced with all required ASC regulatory reporting, quality reporting, accreditation documentation, incident reporting, QAPI reporting, infection prevention reporting, and state and federal reporting requirements.
