Job Title:
Patient Care Coordinator Job Summary The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients by managing communication, scheduling, and administrative tasks within the healthcare setting. This position involves direct interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate efficient patient management and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing excellent client communication via phone and written correspondence. Manage patient appointments, schedules, and follow-up procedures using patient management software and electronic health records (EHR). Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) while ensuring patient confidentiality at all times. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding health insurance details and coverage. Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation related to patient care. Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology to accurately interpret and document patient information. Handle phone communications professionally, addressing patient inquiries and coordinating care as needed. Assist patients with billing questions or insurance processes by applying knowledge of health insurance policies. Support the healthcare team by managing administrative tasks efficiently and maintaining organized records. Experience Prior experience in a healthcare setting or medical office is preferred. Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and patient management software is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary. Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processes will enhance effectiveness in this role. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations is critical. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
