Job Description
We are seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented team member who is committed to providing excellent patient service and helping maintain an efficient workflow throughout the office. Position Summary The Front Desk / Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for greeting patients in a warm and professional manner, checking patients in and out using medical software, and assisting with the overall patient flow during the visit. This role also includes verifying insurance benefits prior to patient appointments, collecting copays, coinsurance, and outstanding balances, and communicating effectively with team members to support daily operations. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients promptly and professionally, ensuring all required information is obtained. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments and address any issues or discrepancies. Accurately obtain and record patient demographics, insurance details, and payment information. Manage the patient check-out process, including scheduling follow-up appointments and collecting payments. Assist with patient flow by using medical software to move patients through the visit/encounter process. Support the billing department by collecting and processing copays, coinsurance, and outstanding patient balances. Communicate effectively with coworkers to help ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
