Position Overview:
We are seeking a Patient Intake Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with patients to obtain accident details and insurance information, making outbound calls to investigate on medical claims to insurance companies on behalf of our clients. Your work will involve accurate and timely data entry using multiple systems while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete patient interviews to investigate and resolve medical claims. Phone coverage and voicemails. Sort and distribute incoming mail. Handle email correspondence and ensure timely and accurate information is provided. Sending faxes, scanning, and making copies as needed. Create new patient accounts as needed and maintain account accuracy in all company and hospital systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Platform. Experience with medical terminology and third-party liability preferred. Background in medical billing/claim processing and understanding of UB04 and CMS1500 forms preferred.
