This vital role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in healthcare management, patient care, and hospice services. The Hospice Administrator will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and managing the administrative functions of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families through effective leadership and operational excellence. Duties Provide strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of comprehensive hospice care aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee clinical operations, including patient care coordination, case management, and utilization management to optimize patient outcomes. Supervise interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable operations while maintaining quality standards. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and state licensing requirements. Oversee electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical records management, and documentation accuracy across all departments. Develop policies and procedures that promote best practices in hospice care, emergency response protocols, and patient safety initiatives. Collaborate with community partners, referral sources, and healthcare providers to expand access to hospice services. Monitor quality metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience in healthcare management within hospice or palliative care settings; critical care experience is highly valued. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing multidisciplinary teams in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or senior care environments. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records systems (EMR/EHR), and healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance. Background in acute care settings such as ICU, Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center, or emergency medicine is preferred. Experience with case management, utilization management, budgeting, and financial oversight within healthcare organizations. Familiarity with nursing home operations, home care services, hospital medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room) experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care across diverse populations. Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
