Job Description

HearSound is looking for a full-time Patient Care Coordinator for our local, community-oriented practice in Boone. Our hearing experts take care to spend time with our patients - conducting testing thoroughly, answering all their questions, and finding a hearing solution that truly fits their individual needs and lifestyle. As both the first and last point of contact for all visitors, the front office team is equally integral to delivering an exceptional patient experience. The ideal Patient Care Coordinator will need to be a warm, genuine people-person who can be firm with patients while building long-lasting trust. This person will need to be a star multi-tasker who can juggle multiple responsibilities at a time while remaining friendly and adaptable to situations as they evolve. Responsibilities include:
Warmly greeting patients and other visitors Answering phones in a prompt, professional and courteous manner Outbound calling to current and prospective patients Entering and updating all patient information including intake and medical forms Scheduling, managing and confirming appointments Receiving funds and processing payments Administrative and other support duties such as key performance indicator management, block scheduling, opening, and closing tasks Help to improve practice workflows and efficiencies Support marketing efforts such as community outreach, referral management, social media, and email campaigns Maintaining strong working relationships with patients, vendors, colleagues, and community partners
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in administration, accounting, sales, healthcare, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners. Ability to work independently with varying levels of supervision Strong customer service orientation with excellent listening, problem-solving, and service recovery skills. Ability to accurately process and track financial transactions, including payments, reconciliations, and basic accounting functions. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain workflow efficiency. Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping. Proficiency with office systems, including scheduling software, electronic medical records (EMR), and basic computer applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Willingness and ability to travel for training or professional development, as required by the practice
Pay & Benefits :
