Responsibilities Provides operational leadership and oversight for all areas within the operating room, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), anesthesia services and wound care, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality patient care and services. Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement that supports patient-centered care and professional nursing practice. Partners with physicians, nursing leaders, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to prioritize patient care needs and align departmental operations with organizational goals and strategic initiatives. Leads the coordination and delivery of nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and evidence-based nursing practice. Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members, including hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance evaluations, employee engagement, disciplinary action, and recognition activities. Responsible for staffing and scheduling oversight to support operational efficiency, productivity standards, patient throughput, and fiscal stewardship. Develops and manages departmental operating and capital budgets and supports achievement of financial goals.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's of Science Degree is required
Experience:
3 years of perioperative nursing experience is required 1 year of previous charge/supervisory experience is preferred License(s)/Certification(s): Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence. Basic Life Support Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
