Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller / Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement as well as multiple front office duties. A coding certificate is not necessary but experience is required. Responsibilities
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding to accurately bill claims
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing issues
- Greeting patients
- Scheduling Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical billing software systems
- Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-10
- Strong understanding of medical collection procedures
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in medical billing is required
- A team player
