Job Description

Ambulatory Clinic Supervisor
  • (Exe) Madisonhealth is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Rexburg Medical Center and Rigby Medical Center.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational flow of the clinic. This position coordinates with engineering, IT and other services internally to Madisonhealth as well as external vendors to ensure that the physical building, computer, phone systems are running efficiently. This position is responsible for direct supervision and staff scheduling for the front reception desk, admitting, and clinical areas. This position will place orders for patient supplies, office supplies and coordinate delivery and PAR levels for smooth clinic operations. This position ensures that all sub-lease arrangements are met to satisfaction within the lease terms. This position will track equipment repairs and maintenance on equipment, phone system and alarm/fire systems. This position ensures that business office function such as balancing and maintaining a cash drawer for patient payments, setting up payment plans for OB patients, and other fiscal policies as created by the business office are in compliance. This position is also working in conjunction with the quality projects coordinator for quality programs in the clinic setting. He/She will be a point of contact for patient concerns, vendor concerns, workman concerns that come into the clinic requesting assistance either in the clinical, building, or business areas of the clinic. This position will adhere to the vision of the hospital as directed by the Clinical Director of Ambulatory Services. He/she will seek to inform and question as appropriate to determine the best solution for the sustained day-to-day operations of the clinic. When a decision warrants leadership be informed, this position does not hesitate to contact the director with appropriate issues and possible solutions, so that a timely decision can be reached. This position recognizes the need for confidentiality when appropriate, and acts in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Required Skills:
Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects and maintain multiple timelines. Must be able to remain flexible to meet demands on a day-to-day basis. Ability to work as a member of a team and possess strong written, oral and communication skills along with independent problem-solving skills to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization and the general public. The incumbent must be able to objectively assess situations without becoming emotionally involved. Additionally, communication with internal and external contacts requires patience, tact, persuasion and diplomacy by the incumbent. Preferred candidate must have the ability to learn and use new programs with minimal training. Highest standard of customer service.
Minimum Work Experience:
Must have 2 to 3 years prior physician office setting experience. This experience may be from a hospital or in a physician office setting.
