JOB DESCRIPTION

Sign On Bonus Eligible Must possess an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or be license-eligible in Illinois. This is a behavioral health leadership position and is not a clinical research or healthcare administration role.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical leadership, supervision, and support for outpatient behavioral health services. This position is responsible for supervising therapists, counselors, interns, and practicum students; promoting clinical excellence; supporting staff development; and ensuring compliance with agency, state, and regulatory standards. The Clinical Coordinator also maintains a small clinical caseload and works collaboratively with leadership to support program growth, quality improvement, and positive client outcomes. This position is intended for experienced behavioral health professionals with strong clinical, supervisory, and leadership skills. Candidates should possess experience providing mental health services and supporting multidisciplinary treatment teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides clinical supervision and consultation to clinicians and interns/practicum students, as assigned to assure quality of services. Assists with training new staff/Interns/practicum students. Make necessary decisions in the absence of Clinical Manager to assure program continuity. Act in consultation with other Managers and Director as needed. Provides outpatient counseling services utilizing evidence-based methodologies to provide excellent clinical services. Prepares for and conducts individual, group, and family therapy for assigned caseload. Assists clients in developing an individualized treatment plan, must be person centered, family centered, and service centered. Monitors client progress in treatment and participates in treatment plan reviews as assigned. Updates treatment plans as appropriate. Submits treatment plans at all stages for medical review, if applicable. Conducts intake for clients entering services, including explaining services, gathering information needed on intake materials, ensuring service recipient understands all forms, assuring signature on appropriate contracts and consents, and submitting materials for processing, as assigned. Conducts assessments and write assessment summaries, as assigned. Assists clients with making linkages with internal and external resources as outlined in treatment plan and in coordination with Integrated Healthcare Services. Maintains appropriate contact with referral sources including providing information on client progress, behavior, and needs (with appropriate releases), and maintaining ongoing consultation when appropriate. Assists client in making discharge plans and provide follow up services as assigned. Attends staff meetings, clinical staffings, and other internal meetings as assigned. Participates on committees as assigned, including quality assurance functions. Maintains appropriate communication with other employees and work as an effective member of treatment team. Monitors urinalysis, breathalyzer, and other testing as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level Master's Degree in Human Services Years of Experience Demonstrated skill in performing clinical services Certification/Licensure Clinical License required. SAS staff must have certification or licensure within the required time frame mandated by DASA Staff Qualifications (or within 2 years of hire, whichever comes first).
