Job Description
Family Service of Glencoe (FSG) is seeking a Clinical Director to provide senior clinical leadership for our mental health program.
This role carries dual responsibility:
providing strong, authoritative clinical supervision to a team of five clinical staff and interns and maintaining an active clinical caseload consistent with FSG's service model. The Clinical Director is a member of FSG's senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Executive Director, and is the definitive clinical resource for the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide individual and group clinical supervision to all mental health staff, including licensed and pre-licensed therapists, the Crisis Specialist, and the Outreach & Intake Manager. Serve as the primary clinical resource for the team, available for case consultation and real-time support in complex or high-risk situations. Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, including caseload distribution, documentation standards, and the fee/sliding-scale process. Maintain an active caseload providing individual, couples, and family therapy using evidence-based clinical frameworks. Collaborate with the Outreach & Intake Manager on case assignment and oversee the clinical intake process. Supervise and provide coverage for crisis intervention services in partnership with Glencoe Public Safety and community partners. Develop clinical policy and procedure guidelines and lead FSG's quality assurance process, including chart reviews and outcomes measurement. Partner with the Executive Director on program development, community partnerships, and grant/report data needs. Recruit, hire, and onboard new clinical staff, and support performance reviews and professional development planning. Adhere to professional standards of practice regarding clinical care, documentation, andHIPAA. QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field. Active Illinois clinical licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent). Minimum of five years post-licensure clinical experience in an outpatient mental health setting. Minimum of two years of formal clinical supervisory experience with licensed and pre-licensed staff. Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, including individual, couples/family therapy, and crisis intervention. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking. Proficiency with electronic health records (SimplePractice or comparable) and Office 365/Teams. Training in trauma-informed care, strengths-based supervision, or culturally responsive clinical practice.Preferred:
Experience supervising staff pursuing LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT licensure under Illinois IDFPR requirements. Familiarity with crisis intervention models and collaboration with law enforcement/public safety partners. Experience with clinical outcomes measurement and data-informed quality improvement. Knowledge of the Chicago North Shore community and established local referral relationships.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: $95,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience. Full-time employees are eligible for a benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, and a retirement plan match.TO APPLY
