Job Description

Job Summary:
MH Sub I, LLC is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Patient Care Coordinator to support patients throughout their healthcare journey. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for patients, physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, ensuring seamless scheduling, communication, and coordination of digestive health and liver disease services. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting the daily operations of a fast-paced gastroenterology and endoscopy practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, follow-ups, and referrals Assist patients with scheduling colonoscopies, endoscopies, imaging, and consultations Communicate preparation instructions and answer patient questions regarding procedures Verify insurance information, authorizations, and patient documentation Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system Respond to patient calls, emails, and portal messages in a professional and timely manner Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Support patients with paperwork, referrals, and medical forms Monitor appointment schedules and help reduce patient wait times Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards Provide compassionate customer service to patients and families
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred Previous experience in a medical office, gastroenterology clinic, or healthcare coordination role preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment Bilingual skills are an advantage
Pay:
$22.50 - $25.80 per hour
