Clinical Rotations and Student Services Supervisor About Us Saint James School of Medicine is an accredited Caribbean medical school committed to helping students achieve their goal of becoming physicians. Our U.S. administrative office is located in Park Ridge, Illinois. Position Summary We are seeking an organized and student-focused supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Student Success and Clinical Placement team. This role supports medical students during their clinical education, oversees clinical rotation coordination, supervises staff, and assists students with residency preparation. The position works closely with students, hospital partners, physicians, faculty, and internal departments. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support Student Success and Clinical Placement team members. Serve as a primary point of contact for students during their clinical rotations. Advise students on rotation scheduling, elective choices, academic progress, residency preparation, and important deadlines. Oversee clinical rotation scheduling, student documentation, evaluations, and hospital communication. Maintain relationships with hospital coordinators, clinical sites, physicians, and preceptors. Coordinate student orientation and the transition from basic sciences to clinical training. Identify students who may require additional support and coordinate appropriate follow-up. Assist with residency webinars, student performance documents, application timelines, and Match-related activities. Monitor departmental inboxes and ensure timely responses to students and clinical partners. Maintain accurate student, rotation, clinical-site, and residency records. Review reports and help improve departmental procedures and workflows. Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, the Registrar, Finance, and other departments. Assist with clinical site visits, accreditation activities, student appeals, and special projects. Provide coverage for team members during absences. Travel periodically to clinical sites, partner hospitals, and institutional events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Experience in student services, higher education, healthcare administration, clinical education, or a related field. Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping. Ability to communicate professionally with students, physicians, faculty, hospitals, and external partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software systems. Ability to handle confidential student information appropriately. Preferred Experience Experience working with medical students or healthcare education programs. Familiarity with clinical rotations, residency applications, or graduate medical education. Schedule and Benefits Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Hybrid schedule:
Park Ridge office Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off. 401(k) and additional employee benefits. Some evening availability may be required.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
