The Clinical Student Managerwill provide support to Purdue University Global students through the clinical placement process.JobSummary:
The Clinical Student Manager (CSM) is responsible for being the primary contact regarding clinical placement andfield practicums for an assigned student population within Purdue Global. The Clinical Student Manager (CSM) operates under the directsupervision of the Senior Manager, Clinical Student Support, in collaboration with School of Nursing leadership. The CSM is responsible forcommunicating clinical placement expectations to students, providing placement support as needed, and monitoring student progress throughoutthe clinical placement process. The Clinical Student Manager also serves as a point of contact for clinical sites, assisting with theestablishment of affiliation agreements in collaboration with Purdue Global's legal team and coordinating the completion of any additionalsite-specific requirements.Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Support & ClinicalPlacement:
Informs and educates students on the steps and requirements of the clinical process. Conductsclinical student orientations and offers office hours to provide ongoing guidance and support to students. Provides clinicalplacement support to students as needed throughout the placement process. Provides information and reminders on clinical placementrequirements to students on a regular basis. Addresses questions from students on requirements and provides encouragement andsupportive guidance to help students successfully navigate the placement process. Tracks student progress on clinical requirementsand confirms all clinical placement requirements have been met before the students clinical rotation begins. Assist withstudent/clinical site remediation issues as required.Relationship Management:
Coordinates withclinical sites and Purdue Global legal support on completion of affliction agreements, site compliance documents, and Purdue Global requiredclinical documentation. Develops and manages relationships for clinical sites and preceptors for programs within the assignedregion. Provide input into strategic, operational, and administrative projects. Perform other duties asassigned. Qualifications and Skills Master's Degree in healthcare, higher education orsimilar program and/or comparable experience. 2-3 years experience with third party sites, agencies, orbusinesses. Higher education, or careers services experience is preferred. What we're lookingfor: Must be comfortable dedicating a substantial amount of time to email correspondence, phone communication, and othermodes of professional interaction to effectively achieve objectives and support students and external stakeholders. Ability tohandle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, balancecompeting demands for time, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Effective analytical skills with the ability to assesssituations, resolve issues or make recommendations as appropriate. Effective oral and written communication skills, with the abilityto adapt communication style and method to suit different audiences. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectivelycommunicate with a professional demeanor with people at all levels within the organization and from diverse backgrounds. Must beable to work a variety of hours/days (early mornings/late evenings to support students in various time zones. Must be able to workwith Google and MS programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google.AdditionalInformation:
The target salary for this position is $60,000. Purdue University Global will not sponsoremployment authorization for this position.
