Job Description

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. At our center, we offer a unique combination of counseling, case management, psychosocial, and medication services, all under one roof. We are deeply committed to our clients and are dedicated to implementing a comprehensive model of care. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Supervisor to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position serves as the supervisor for an interdisciplinary group of staff including QMHP, Case Managers, Housing, and Peer Support Specialists. The ACT Team will provide an integrated approach to mental health services, through which the range of treatment issues are addressed from a variety of perspectives. The Team Leader will also provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients on an outpatient basis. This position may include participation in a rotating on-call schedule to support team and client needs outside of standard business hours.
Pay and Benefits:

Primary Duties:
Ensure all services provided by the ACT Team are following
KDADS ACT
fidelity standards Assist in hiring, training, and professional development of ACT Team personnel. Utilize KPI Dashboard to monitor, review, and track ACT services to ensure compliance with fidelity standards Facilitate team meetings to assign cases to team members and review daily work responsibilities Provide comprehensive assessment of clients to ensure admission criteria are met. Assign clients to clinically appropriate services to be delivered by the ACT Team Provide outpatient individual, group, and family therapy to clients, including those assigned to the ACT Team Provide initial and on-going treatment planning and develop crisis prevention with assigned clients Provide crisis stabilization services to clients assigned to the ACT Team to enable timely access to services necessary for crisis stabilization and with the purpose of diverting the client from hospitalization Assist with discharge planning and/or transition support to clients to higher or lower level of treatment Facilitate on-going collaboration with community partners, referral sources, and government agencies to ensure appropriate services are provided to clients
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
AND LICENSURE
Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a
LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT
by the first day of employment
EXPERIENCE
Required:
one-year post-masters clinical experience in a mental health setting
Preferred:
one year experience in program management and supervision of staff, experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices, and prior experience as a case manager for SPMI adults.
