Job Description
Serves as a nursing leader and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of care, clinical practice and provision of service for assigned unit(s). Coordinates nursing efforts to ensure that quality, safety and customer service standards are met. Provides operational oversight to assigned unit(s). Manages the unit's recruitment, and retention of nursing staff through coaching, mentoring, and providing opportunities for professional development. Fosters an engaged, team-oriented work environment. Makes decisions within the framework of the organization's philosophies, policies, and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Four years of experience as a staff nurse with demonstrated leadership skills required. Previous charge nurse or coordinator experience strongly preferred. Graduate of a school of nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
