Job Description:
Must be a
Certified Medical Assistant Shift:

  • Thursday 8a
  • 5p and Friday 8a
  • 12p Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, validating them with the patient, family, and other health care providers when possible.
Documents diagnoses to facilitate the determination of expected outcomes and plan of care. Implements the plan of care in a safe and timely manner, coordinating with other health care providers as necessary. Ensures the data collection process is systematic and ongoing, prioritizing activities based on the patient's immediate condition or needs. Provides culturally appropriate and realistic outcomes in relation to the patient's present and potential capabilities and available resources. Facilitates continuity of care by providing direction through documented measurable goals and time estimates for attainment. Collects patient health data involving the patient, family, and other health care providers using appropriate assessment techniques and instruments. Evaluates the patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes, revising the plan of care as needed. Documents relevant data, diagnoses, expected outcomes, and interventions in a retrievable form. Develops a plan of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes, individualized to the patient's condition or needs. Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient, derived from diagnoses, and mutually formulated with the patient, family, and other health care providers. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in using computers, telephone, fax machine, copier, stethoscope, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitor, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice. [Required] Demonstrated customer service skills. [Required] Knowledge of medical terminology. [Required] Ability to demonstrate appropriate documentation skills. [Required]
