Job Description

Position Summary A leading regional acute care medical center in Mayfield, KY is seeking an experienced, leadership-driven Registered Nurse (RN) to step into the role of Director of Case Management . Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) , this leadership position oversees all daily operations of the Case Management department—including Utilization Review (UR), discharge planning, length of stay (LOS) optimization, care coordination, and departmental budgeting. Compensation & Perks Base Salary Range:
$95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year (commensurate with experience)

Direct, evaluate, and mentor case management staff, managing day-to-day operations, scheduling, and staff development.
Financial & Budget Management:
Prepare and monitor departmental budgets in partnership with the CFO; ensure operations align with allocated funding and financial goals.
Utilization Review & Compliance:
Oversee care delivery protocols, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission, and healthcare regulatory standards.
Audits & Quality Control:
Coordinate internal and external departmental audits while continuously integrating evidence-based clinical practices into operations.
Interdisciplinary Coordination:
Act as a liaison between medical staff, administration, patients, families, and external healthcare agencies to optimize patient discharge planning.
Requirements & Qualifications Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
Certification:
ACMA (Accredited Case Manager) certification required OR must be willing to obtain within 2 years of hire.
Experience:
Proven hospital-based Case Management / Utilization Review experience (Required). Leadership or supervisory experience in Case Management or Nursing (Strongly Preferred).
Work Model:
Must be able to report 100% on-site in Mayfield, KY.
