Job Description:
Job Summary Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of patient access and registration to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive patient experience. This role provides frontline leadership for staff performing scheduling and insurance verification, while ensuring compliance with established policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor serves as a key resource for staff and patients, assisting with workflow coordination, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts Essential Functions- Supervise patient registration staff to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely completion of registration and access functions.
- Provide coaching, training, and daily guidance to staff to promote professional growth and accountability.
- Monitor staff productivity, quality, and adherence to departmental performance standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in resolving escalated patient registration or financial clearance issues, including insurance coverage and authorization concerns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies in all registration activities.
- Prepare and review reports on staff performance and registration activities to identify areas for improvement.
- Support initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure smooth handoffs and efficient workflows.
- Participate in departmental meetings, workgroups, and projects to support patient access and organizational objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
