Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse for our role of Director of Clinical Operations to lead and optimize our clinical services for our Hospice agency. This pivotal role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment among clinical teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nursing administration, extensive management experience, and a passion for enhancing resident and patient outcomes through innovative operational strategies. Join us to drive excellence in healthcare delivery while supporting our mission to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. He/She will function under the direction of the Administrator. Duties Lead and coordinate all aspects of clinical operations across various facilities, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Oversight of financial management of Clinical Operations. Oversee the management of medical records, documentation review, and ensure accurate maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Supervise nursing staff management, including nurse management, shift scheduling, performance evaluations, and supervising experience development. Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards, anatomy and physiology knowledge requirements, and proper documentation practices for all clinical activities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize quality while maintaining regulatory compliance related to HIPAA privacy rules and medical records management. Review and approve care plans, and ensure that documentation aligns with federal Medicare requirements for reimbursement. Actively develops and pursues referral sources, as well as facilitates ongoing relationships with various medical and health communities. Qualifications Proven experience in nursing administration within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or hospice organizations. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated supervising experience in a healthcare setting. 3 years of experience as Professional nurse with 2 years administrative/supervisory experience. Hospice experience preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems and EHR systems for managing medical records and documentation review processes. Knowledge of and adherence to current hospice Conditions of Participation, admission, and compliant hospice care state and federal guidelines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and care plan development. Registered Nurse, BSN or Master's degree in Nursing, including Public Health and or Administrative Studies.
