Provide excellent customer service during the emergency room patient access and intake process, working closely with and under the supervision of a registered nurse to support patient care and improve quality of life for patients and families. Serve as a central point of communication and clerical coordination within the Emergency Department. Accurately identify patients and verify data before applying armbands; correct any discrepancies before proceeding Handle telephone and message communications with professionalism and clarity Prepare, compile, and maintain all unit records and documentation needed for daily operations Participate in the registration, admission, and discharge processes, ensuring proper documentation and communication Provide both direct and indirect patient care as directed by RN or physician to maintain patient flow Assist in assessing and managing patients under supervision, including performing procedures such as splints, skin preps, and venipuncture after competency validation Support with specimen collection, patient admission/discharge/transfer, and assist in emergency responses and minor procedures Maintain patient privacy and follow safety, HIPAA, and infection control protocols at all timesWhat Sets BRG Apart:
