As we build our team from the ground up, we're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in making patients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they walk in. Position Overview We're seeking a warm, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for our patients and referring offices. This role is central to the patient experience — you'll manage scheduling, communication, and administrative flow while helping set the tone for a calm, professional, and caring practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage front-desk operations during office hours Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling Coordinate with referring general dentists' offices regarding patient referrals and treatment updates Verify dental insurance benefits and explain coverage/estimates/claims to patients Collect payments, process claims, and support basic billing and accounts receivable tasks Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA Manage new patient intake paperwork and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process Support the clinical team with day-to-day office coordination and communication Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Occasional assisting with sterilization/clinical duties if needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework a plus Prior experience in a dental or medical front office strongly preferred, especially in a specialty practice Familiarity with dental insurance verification and claims processing preferred Comfortable with dental practice management software (training provided) Excellent communication skills and a genuinely friendly, patient-first attitude Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience The opportunity to help shape the culture and systems of a brand-new practice A supportive, small-team environment with direct mentorship from the doctor PTO & holiday pay CE/training support Health insurance benefits planned as practice grows Location 1945 East 70th Street, Suite F Shreveport, LA 71105
