Job Description

Position Summary:
Clinical Coordinating Center Director provides strategic leadership and operational/regulatory oversight for the Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) of a multi-site autism research network led by the Rosamund Stone Zander and Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC). This position is pivotal in leading collaborations both within BCH and across national and international institutions that are committed to advancing research that improves the lives of patients with neurodevelopmental disorders. Responsible for translating scientific priorities into rigorous operational systems, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures regulatory compliance across a distributed network of clinical research sites. Reporting directly to the Principal Investigator(s), this role blends deep scientific expertise with strategic execution, serving as the primary liaison to investigators, funding agencies and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Coordinating Center Oversight:
Lead CCC strategic and operational/regulatory execution, including study start-up, site activation, and ongoing network activities across the multi-site autism research network. Partner with PIs and institutional leadership to operationalize network strategy, ensuring alignment with scientific priorities and translating those priorities into high-performing research systems. Serve as the primary liaison to investigators, funding agencies, and scientific or institutional partners.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality:
Drive regulatory excellence by overseeing and harmonizing IRB processes, submissions, and compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, and institutional requirements. Develop and implement standardized operational procedures, protocols, and compliance frameworks to ensure consistency across the distributed research network.
Team Leadership and Staff Development:
Hire, lead and develop CCC staff including setting priorities, conducting performance reviews and recommending promotions. Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture aligned with the research network's mission and the Hospital's core values.
Financial and Resource Management:
Oversee financial and resource management for the CCC, including budgets, staffing, and grant-related activities. Participate in writing project proposals; support planning and implementation of network meetings. Scientific Communication and Dissemination Collaborate with PI(s) in preparing scientific papers, presentations, and other scholarly communications. Support the broader scientific mission of the network by contributing to program discussions, events, and network initiatives as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Master's Degree required in Neuroscience, Clinical Research, Genetics, Public Health, or related field.
Experience:
8+ years of clinical research or clinical trials experience, including multi-site study operations is required. Minimum 3 years of experience in staff management and team leadership.
