Full-Time Overview We're seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our optometry practice. This role is the first point of contact for patients and includes essential administrative and billing support functions. Ideal candidates are customer-focused, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Patient Experience Greet patients warmly and provide an excellent in-office experience Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule Check patients in and out efficiently Verify patient demographics and update records Provide information about services, eyewear, and office policies Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk area Insurance & Billing Support Verify vision and medical insurance eligibility and benefits Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Prepare and submit claims to vision and medical insurers Assist with billing inquiries and communicate balances to patients Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and corrections Support end-of-day reconciliation and payment posting Administrative Duties Manage patient charts and ensure accurate documentation Assist with optical sales support when needed Coordinate referrals and medical records requests Support the team with general office tasks to ensure smooth operations ⸻ Qualifications Prior experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office preferred Knowledge of vision plans (VSP, Eyemed, etc.) and medical billing is a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Comfortable with practice management software and basic computer skills Positive attitude and team-oriented work style ⸻ Benefits Health/vision benefits Paid time off and holidays Employee eyewear discounts Professional growth opportunities Simple IRA plan
