We are seeking a dynamic and experienced healthcare leader to oversee operations at our Malden clinic . Position Summary The Clinic Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and team performance of our AFC urgent care center. This role provides hands-on leadership while ensuring exceptional patient experiences, strong staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and achievement of key business objectives. As the operational leader for this location, you will partner closely with providers, advanced practice professionals, and regional leadership to drive clinic success while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop Medical Assistants, Receptionists, and X-Ray Technologists across both clinic locations. Foster a positive, high-performing culture focused on patient care, teamwork, and accountability. Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee growth and development. Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and retention efforts. Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent customer service. Monitor staffing levels and schedules to meet patient demand while controlling labor costs. Ensure operational consistency and adherence to AFC standards. Support front-line operations as needed, particularly during peak patient volume periods. Financial & Business Performance Manage clinic budgets and monitor profit and loss performance. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including patient volume, wait times, patient satisfaction, productivity, and staffing metrics. Develop and implement action plans to improve operational and financial outcomes. Ensure accurate payroll processing and effective resource utilization. Compliance & Quality Assurance Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Ensure adherence to AFC policies, procedures, and clinical support standards. Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Communication & Collaboration Serve as the primary operational liaison to clinic teams and regional leadership. Communicate performance results, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives effectively. Collaborate with providers and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and clinic efficiency. Qualifications Required:
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare management or supervisory experience. Experience managing teams in urgent care, outpatient, ambulatory care, or similar healthcare settings. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Active BLS certification or ability to obtain within the designated onboarding period. Proficiency with scheduling, payroll, and workforce management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred:
Medical Assistant certification or prior clinical experience. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), particularly Experity. Urgent Care OR Multi-site management experience. Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced urgent care environment requiring flexibility, multitasking, and frequent interaction with patients and staff. Responsibilities may include prolonged standing and walking, occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds, and routine exposure to blood and bodily fluids while following established PPE and safety protocols. Evening, weekend, and occasional float coverage may be required. Compensation AFC is committed to pay equity and transparency. The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually . Final compensation will be based on experience, education, certifications, and overall qualifications.
