The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of scalable healthcare data platforms using AWS cloud technologies , Medallion Architecture, Dimensional Data Modeling, and healthcare interoperability standards including EDI X12, HL7, and FHIR . The selected candidate will play a key leadership role in modernizing legacy healthcare systems into cloud-native data ecosystems while ensuring

compliance, governance, scalability, and enterprise interoperability. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers and ETL developers. Architect and implement enterprise-scale Data Lakehouse solutions using

Medallion Architecture :

Bronze Layer (Raw Data) Silver Layer (Cleansed/Validated Data) Gold Layer (Business Aggregates) Design and develop cloud-based Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions on AWS. Build scalable OLAP solutions using Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake . Design and optimize Star Schema and Snowflake Schema dimensional data models.

Develop high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using:

AWS Glue Apache Spark / PySpark Databricks Apache Airflow Work extensively with AWS services: S3 Redshift Athena EMR Glue HealthLake Lake Formation Integrate and process healthcare transaction data: EDI X12 (837, 835, 278)

HL7 FHIR

APIs/resources Implement data governance, lineage, access controls, encryption, and auditing for

compliance. Lead legacy-to-modern data migration and interoperability initiatives. Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to define enterprise data strategy. Drive CI/CD automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices in data engineering workflows. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Master s Degree preferred. Experience 10+ years of overall IT architecture/design experience. 7+ years in: Data Engineering ETL Development Cloud Data Architecture 2+ years leading technical/data engineering teams. 5+ years managing large-scale enterprise implementations. Strong healthcare domain experience is mandatory.
