Job Description

Job Description:
  • Assist with scheduling of the patients' diagnostic and treatment appointments, tests and procedures
  • Provide support to clinical teams with clinic activities preparation and conduct
  • Attend weekly clinic planning meeting and send out weekly clinic schedule to appropriate staff involved with patient care.
  • Assist in development of the documentation packages for patients and distribute the packages to the patients
  • Communicate with outside hospitals assisting clinical team in processing patient medical documentation
  • Schedule foreign language and sign interpretation services.
  • Assist each eligible patient and their family member/significant other with completion of
  • an extended visitor's pass and direct them to the NIH Clinical Center badging station.
  • Assist the research team with scheduled patient admission and payments for travel/lodging
  • Arrange for lodging as appropriate, in coordination with social work department
  • Serve as liaison between clinical team and other NIH departments
  • Maintain a current electronic tracking system and supportive documentation for all communications
  • Assist research staff with monitoring/audit preparation and perform additional duties as directed by the research team
Qualifications:
BS/BA in health-related field, and 3 years experience. 5 plus years experience can be substituted for education. Minimum 3 years Clinical or Medical skills. Minimum of 3 years of medical, clinical, or research related study or instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in health-related field, and 3+ years experience. Health or clinical certification (e.g., CCRP) highly desirable Oncology research specific knowledge and experience preferred
