Manager of Hospital Billing The Manager of Hospital Billing provides operational leadership for hospital billing functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high performance across all activities. This role partners closely with leadership to support managed services operations and drive revenue cycle success. The Manager oversees daily operations, leads teams, and collaborates on initiatives that enhance billing performance and workflow efficiency.Remote / Regional
Travel We are seeking a high-caliber HB Manager for a remote-first role that maintains a strong connection to our Maryland operations. This position requires periodic onsite presence in Annapolis, MD (ranging from monthly to twice per quarter) to facilitate high-level communication and accountability with the client. Key Responsibilities Lead hospital billing teams to ensure timely, accurate claim submission and follow-up Partner with leadership to implement strategies aligned with revenue cycle objectives Monitor billing performance metrics, identify trends, and execute corrective actions to meet KPIs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations governing hospital billing Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve escalated billing issues and improve workflows Provide coaching, training, and performance management to support staff development Support technology initiatives, including optimization of electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic) Assist with resource planning and operational improvements to achieve departmental goals Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 6-8 years of healthcare billing operations experience Minimum 3 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of hospital and professional billing processes Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems preferred Current permanent U.S. work authorization required Proven ability to analyze performance metrics, manage teams, and drive process improvements Preferred Qualifications Strategic & Analytical Capabilities Advanced ability to synthesize complex data and translate insights into measurable improvements Experience leading workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives Exposure to budget planning and multi-workstream performance improvement projects Leadership & Interpersonal Skills Demonstrated success leading through organizational change Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Experience mentoring and developing team members Schedule Monday - Friday Compensation & Additional Information Salary range: $80,000 - $105,000 Onsite role in the Annapolis, Maryland area (local candidates or relocation required) Relocation assistance may be supported through sign-on incentives Potential flexibility for contract-to-hire arrangements in select casesSimilar remote jobs
