Job Description
The University of Medicine and Health Sciences School of Medicine, chartered on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean with a clinical campus located in South Portland, Maine and with corporate offices in New York City is seeking a unique individual who is trained and experienced in an allied medical field to provide clinical skills training to third year students and coordination of our preceptorship program in our clinical campus located in South Portland, Maine. The UMHS Maine Campus Preceptorship/CSL Director is the primary point of contact for, and facilitator of, the Introduction to Clinical Medicine II (ICM II) course Preceptorship and the Clinical Skills Lab experiences. The Preceptorship/CSL Director interacts closely with area physicians and advanced level practitioners, office staff, and CSL instructors who oversee and mentor UMHS students during their Maine Preceptorship and Clinical Skills Lab experiences. In addition, the Preceptorship/CSL Director provides instruction to medical students on various clinical procedural skills and ensures that all students meet their objectives for completing the Preceptorship and CSL portions of the ICM II course.
