The SEH-Cardiopulmonary Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department including proper adherence to treatment protocols and CMS compliance, staff oversight, facility upkeep and equipment maintenance. They assist with the development of the departmental budget and are responsible for meeting or exceeding patient outcome, patient satisfaction and budgetary goals.
Essential Duties :
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Responsible for creating a positive environment that promotes health and wellness for all members, guests, patients and caregivers. Consistently exemplifies on-stage behavior. Manages the day-to-day activities and operations of the Cardiopulmonary Department to ensure that the facility, equipment and staff meet or exceed patient expectations. Adheres to all departmental and organizational policies, procedures and compliance guidelines. Oversees cardiopulmonary staff and is responsible for hiring, training/coaching, scheduling, time-keeping and disciplinary actions. Gathers, tabulates, evaluates and reports relevant data. Provide training and guidance to staff and student interns and administers annual performance reviews. Provides education and training to clinical support staff to ensure point of service quality efforts meet established goals. Responsible for maintaining departmental statistical reports and reporting out on departmental metrics. Consistently provides exceptional patient care and customer service. Regularly exceed patient expectations and is a role model in this area for all staff. Plans, coordinates and executes efforts to improve patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. Develops and implements plans to meet quality and patient satisfaction goals, demonstrates creative alternatives and proactive approach to problem solving. Assist with the development of the annual budget goals and responsible for meeting or exceeding budgetary goals. Review departmental policies and procedures annually. Revises and develops new ones as necessary. Assist with marketing efforts for AL!VE programs and services. Establishes effective communications efforts with patients, members, guests and caregivers. Supports efforts across the organization. Attends/leads meetings as required. Works as part of team to accomplish Departmental, AL!VE and organizational goals. Coordination of special events/projects. Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, and customer service initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements General Requirements
CPR/ACLS
certification Work Experience Minimum of three years' experience in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab setting Education Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of accrediting and regulatory standards and hospital policies related to the provision of patient care including HIPPA confidentiality and TJC mandates
  • Knowledge of Intensive Cardiac Rehab, Cardiac Rehab and Pulmonary Rehab services and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of EMR systems.
  • Written and computer skills necessary to communicate effectively and generate departmental reports
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, members, guests and caregivers.
  • Ability to effectively build, inspire and motivate a team.
  • Displays a high level organization and is capable of effective and efficient multi-tasking.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and delegate appropriate tasks
  • Ability to hold people accountable and ensure that assigned tasks are completed.
Preferred:
  • ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional
