Downstairs in SEEN Vision Care, you will answer phones and assist patients in ordering glasses, adjustments and repair. Upstairs in VLPS you will be a part time Vision Therapist, though there may be an opportunity to become a full time Vision Therapist for the right fit! In this multifaceted role, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional eye care services, assisting patients with eyewear selections, and coordinating their journey through our clinic. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a seamless experience for every patient while supporting our commitment to high-quality vision health. Duties Conduct comprehensive vision therapy sessions with both children and adults Assist patients in selecting, fitting, and adjusting eyewear frames and spectacle lenses with precision and care Manage patient appointments, verify insurance information in compliance with HIPAA and health regulation policies, and maintain accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems Provide outstanding customer service by guiding patients through eyewear options, explaining medical terminology clearly, and addressing their questions confidently Handle retail sales transactions at the POS system, including cash register operations and retail math calculations Ensure clinic compliance with state healthcare regulations and clinical confidentiality policies during all patient interactions and record keeping Skills Optometry/optical/child development knowledge is preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing medical records efficiently while adhering to HIPAA standards is preferred Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for retail transactions and laboratory measurements Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that puts patients at ease - Empathy and kindness are a must Hunger for knowledge and learning Experience in working with diverse patient populations preferred Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier vision care in downtown Northville.
