Immunization and Clinical Programs Manager Reports to:
Medical Director and Director of Clinic Operations Position Category:

Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 am•5:00 pm; Tuesday and Thursday Noon•9 pm (Rotating Schedule) Position Summary The Immunization and Clinical Programs Manager supports the mission of the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic (GBCHC) by overseeing immunization services and related clinical programs that improve access to preventive healthcare for uninsured and underserved populations across Michigan. This position is responsible for managing vaccine operations, ensuring compliance with CDC and Michigan vaccination requirements, maintaining inventory and reporting systems, and supporting safe, high-quality patient care within the clinic setting. The Immunization and Clinical Programs Manager works collaboratively with clinic leadership, providers, nurses, volunteers, and external partners to ensure efficient immunization workflows, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and integration of vaccination services into GBCHC's broader medical care model. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Medical Director to develop, implement, and maintain immunization and clinical program protocols, including standing orders for vaccines such as COVID-19, influenza, Shingrix, and other recommended immunizations. Maintain current knowledge of CDC, MDHHS, and Oakland County vaccination guidelines and best practices. Manage all vaccine inventory in accordance with CDC and state requirements, including ordering, receiving, storage, reconciliation, and documentation. Ensure appropriate vaccine handling and storage procedures, including temperature monitoring and emergency storage contingency planning. Administer vaccinations in accordance with CDC guidelines, clinical protocols, and GBCHC standards of care. Enter vaccine administration data into Athena EMR and the Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) accurately and within required timelines. Document patient education, vaccine administration, and clinical interventions within the EMR. Reconcile vaccine inventory and reporting data within MCIR on a regular basis to ensure compliance and accuracy. Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, regulatory standards, clinic protocols, and vaccine program expectations. Collaborate with clinic staff and volunteers to support efficient patient flow, infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives. Support medical clinic operations by helping maintain clinic readiness, cleanliness, compliance, and patient-centered care standards. Assist with implementation and coordination of additional preventive and clinical health initiatives as assigned. Participate in internal meetings, audits, trainings, and quality improvement activities related to clinical operations and immunization services. Key Competencies and Requirements Current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required; BSN preferred, or current Michigan licensure as an LPN, or certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required, preferably in primary care, public health, immunization programs, community health, or ambulatory care settings. Experience administering vaccines and managing vaccine programs strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of CDC vaccination guidelines, vaccine storage and handling requirements, and immunization documentation standards. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems required, preferably Athena and/or Epic. Experience with MCIR preferred. Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical leadership and volunteers. Experience working with diverse and underserved populations preferred. Commitment to patient-centered care, health equity, and the mission of the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic. General computer proficiency required. Valid CPR Certification (AHA). Other duties as assigned.

$70,000.00•$75,000.00 per year
