Exempt Position Summary The Clinic Manager acts as a leader and role model for service excellence; provides knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of nursing and provider support roles and how they affect or are affected by the clinic operations as well as hospital and ancillary services. The Clinic Manager coordinates and facilitates department meetings covering topics related to risk management, QI, education and patient services. With the support from the CEO and HR, hires clinic support staff, completes their performance evaluations, and provides counseling and disciplinary actions. The Clinic Manager also provides leadership in advancing population health initiatives and care coordination efforts across care settings, supporting programs that improve chronic disease management, preventative care, and patient outcomes within the community. Salary $80,000-$104,000 Duties / Responsibilities Understands the roles, responsibilities and essential duties of clinic support staff. Hires, disciplines and terminates employees. Manages the scheduling of staff to support daily operational requirements while remaining within budget. Records schedule requests, absenteeism, etc. Prepares and reviews required payroll information. Ensure timely performance appraisals and wage reviews of clinic support staff. Ensures staff compliance with Madison Healthcare Services policies and procedures. Ensures staff compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations and responsibilities related to licensure and/or certification. Recognizes and celebrates service excellence. Ensures staff received proper orientation and training, including but not limited to new hire orientation, equipment use, process changes, etc. Manages the inventory, maintenance and repairs of all medical equipment with support from materials management. Writes, reviews and revises clinic nursing policies and procedures. Coordinates the needs of providers as they relate to patient support staff and work space. Ensures organization and safety of work areas. Participates in the Department Manager's meetings. Participates in the Quality Improvement Committee. Participates in or facilitates sub-team member meetings as necessary or requested. Communicates patient care/risk management concerns with Hospital DON, Care Center DON and Department Heads in accordance with MHS risk management and incident reporting procedures. Promotes continuous quality, performance improvement and teamwork. Promotes Healthcare Home initiatives, population health strategies, and care coordination efforts to improve patient outcomes and continuity of care. Performs other related duties as assigned.Education / Experience
Current and unrestricted Minnesota Registered Nurse License Bachelor's degree is preferred. Previous clinic experience and previous management/leadership experience.Knowledge / Skills

Strategic and operational planning skills with the ability to follow through and carry out the MHS mission. Ability to supervise, direct, motivate, and evaluate staff while providing safe, consistent, and quality care to patients.
