Job Description

Americare Senior Living seeks a Health and Wellness Director to lead resident care and wellness programs in our senior living community. You will oversee assessments, care plans, and wellness initiatives that promote safety, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities include supervising clinical and caregiving staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with physicians and families, and driving quality improvement. In our compassionate, resident-centered culture, you'll build strong relationships, mentor your team, and help shape a supportive, mission-driven environment for seniors and staff. Responsibilities Lead development and implementation of resident health and wellness programs Oversee resident assessments and individualized care plans Supervise, schedule, and mentor clinical and caregiving staff Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and external providers Engage residents and families through clear, compassionate communication Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives Support staff training and professional development Promote a resident-centered culture of dignity, safety, and respect Participate in budgeting and resource planning for wellness services Required Skills Care plan development Geriatric care knowledge Regulatory and compliance management Staff supervision and scheduling Health and wellness program design Resident assessment and documentation Quality improvement Budgeting and resource planning Family and stakeholder communication Electronic health record (EHR) systems
