01 Aug 2026 Position Details Classification Information Classification Description FLSA Status Exempt Position Information Position Title Director, Student Health Services Position Number 120594 Department Student Affairs- STT Job Description | Administer the University Student Health Services Center. Supervise and provide leadership to the University Health Services Center providing medical and health services on campus to students, staff and faculty. Provide oversite and leadership ensuring students stay healthy so that they may achieve the highest levels of personal growth and intellectual success at the university. Work to guide the University community toward the active incorporation of wellness as a positive value in life, encourage the adaptation of healthy lifestyles and to control those factors in the campus community and its environment that may compromise wellbeing. Provide, emergency medical treatment and nursing support to the contract campus physician. Refer clients to outpatient clinics; completes insurance forms; provides health counseling and educational programs; screens students' medical and immunization records and supervises the temporary evening nurse. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing and four (4) years nursing experience in a college health care environment. Must graduate from an accredited nursing school and or medical organization. Must be licensed to work in the U.S Virgin Islands as a Registered Nurse. Must be CPR certified. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or other medical field preferred. Must be CPR certified. Physical Demands Must be able to travel for meetings, conferences, and training. Occasional weekend and evening work. Must be self-motivated. Must have the ability to be composed as all time. Must have to ability to sit for an extended period of time. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment will be moderate. Be able to live on campus to respond to medical on call emergencies. Possess a "service attitude" (willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the department). Have a professional physical appearance (appropriate clothing, personal hygiene, etc.). Publicly support the mission of the University.
