POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager assists in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care through coordination of daily operations including clinical workflows, clinical staff training, and satisfaction of quality measures; maintains departmental supply needs and OSHA compliance. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Manager in the business and clinical operations of the department.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, required AND one of the following is required:
  • At least two (2) years of prior medical supervisory experience in a clinic setting, or,
  • Strongly prefer : Graduation certificate from an accredited school of nursing (RN)
  • If a nurse, current MS state licensure is required Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, preferred Working knowledge of clinical workflows in an outpatient setting to provide superior patient care and assistance to physicians/providers, preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential information Composure in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments Willingness and ability to learn new technologies Dependable, punctual, and highly detail‑oriented Strong multitasking and independent‑work capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Accurate documentation skills Ability to follow established workflows consistently

Hattiesburg Clinic Hematology/Oncology offers a coordinated approach to the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of disorders of the blood and cancer in adults. Cancer treatments available include chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and immunotherapy. Additionally, Hattiesburg Clinic is also interested and active in seeking trials to accomplish cancer prevention. Our physicians have been active in hematology/oncology research for over 20 years and are committed to improving care and outcomes for our hematologic and oncologic patients.
