Job Description

This position is located at Deer Lodge Medical Center in Deer Lodge, Montana. Chief Administative Officer Position Summary:
Oversees day to day functions of clinic operation. Responsible for all nursing, provider scheduling, housekeeping and maintenance of operation, and all administrative duties associated with the Rural Health Clinic. Responsible for maintaining a high level of patient care within the clinic department.
Qualifications:
Have a current professional license in MT, either PA, RN or LPN or a business management background. Bachelors degree preferred. A minimum of (3) three years of supervisory experience. Hold a current CPR card.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for overall management of Rural Health Clinic including but not limited to:
  • Annual Evaluations
  • New Employee Orientation and Training
  • Overseeing ongoing Employee Health by being the point person for DLMC employees and communicating/distributing information to employees as necessary
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, and terminating support staff
  • Performance Improvement Project Implementation and Monitoring
  • Monitor training requirements to ensure compliance for RN's, LPN's and MA's within the clinic
  • Ensuring consistency in overall clinic procedures and practices
  • Responsible for budgeting and financial oversight
  • Oversight of any students (Residents,Nursing, Medical Assistant, High School, etc)
  • Attend and participate in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Commmittee
  • Ongoing data collection and analysis related to the Rural Health Clinic
  • Assisting as a liaison with the Public Health nurse as needed
  • Fill in as needed in a clinical role 2) Responsible for Provider scheduling in Hospital and Rural Health Clinic 3) Responsible for RMOMS (Rural Maternity and Obstetrics Management Strategies) grant coordination 4) Adopt the principals of the Planetree initiative and incorporate these programs into both patient care and your relationships with Co-workers.
5) Responsible for oversite supervision of Clinic RN's, LPN's and MA's including but not limited to:
    RN/LPN/MA
    Scheduling
    • Outdate Monitoring
    • Inventory
    • Oversight of Vaccinations and VFC Program
    • Sick call and Vacation Coverage
    • Visiting provider coverage, as necessary 6) Responsible for attendance, reporting and participation in the following meetings: Department Head, Administrative Team, Quality Assurance and Medical Staff.
    7) Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer This is a living document that with changes in industry and government standards may be enhanced.
