www.thestationfoundation.orgOpportunity:
The Station Foundation operates Base Camp Jimmy, a retreat property in the mountains outside Bozeman that hosts immersive programs for Special Operations personnel, their families, and Gold Star children. The property includes five full-size cabins, a main lodge, a yurt, a conference center, and saunas. Clean, organized, and welcoming spaces are the first step in helping participants feel safe enough to slow down, connect, and lean into the work of the program. The Hospitality Manager owns that welcome experience. This role is best suited for someone with experience in high-standard hospitality who takes pride in their craft, works with extreme attention to detail, completes tasks independently, and wants their work to contribute to something meaningful. The pace is more sustainable than a traditional lodge, hotel, or resort, but the standards are not lower.Primary Responsibilities:
Own the welcome experience at Base Camp Jimmy before and during programs, including main lodge and cabin readiness, common areas, saunas, welcome baskets, and coffee/tea stations. Work with leadership to preserve and improve the environment participants experience. Oversee cabin turnover between programs and special events, directing supporting staff to complete all phases of the turnover checklist before the next group arrives. Oversee turnover and upkeep of common spaces (main lodge living room, dining room, and foyer; conference center; yurt) after and during programs. Collect, organize, and prepare laundry at the end of each program, and oversee its distribution when returned. Maintain the linen organization system, including the main lodge linen closet and spare linens in each cabin. Purchase and maintain inventory of non-food supplies (paper products, cleaning supplies, coffee, tea, hot chocolate) and office/administrative supplies, keeping stations in the lodge, yurt, and training center stocked throughout programs. Assemble welcome baskets for each cabin before every program and arrange flowers before each program and visit. Develop a repeatable system for selecting and purchasing these items. Prepare the property for VIP guest and donor visits in coordination with property, kitchen, and development staff, and plan on-site events with the Director of Operations. Support the property-wide organization system (lodge, kitchen, cabins, storage) alongside property, kitchen, and program staff. Engage with participants during programs, as appropriate, to learn how to improve their experience and build lasting relationships. Represent The Station Foundation professionally at all times. Build relationships with local vendors and businesses that improve how this work gets done. Approach the role with creativity and initiative. The tasks above describe the work, but they are not an exhaustive checklist; this position has room to improve and expand how hospitality is delivered. Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Qualified candidates should demonstrate a combination of hospitality skills, practical experience, and a desire to work hard and learn. Experience in a similar high-standard hospitality role (lodging, hospitality, or event operations) Willingness to perform thorough cleaning with extreme attention to detail Ability to direct and coordinate supporting staff on shared tasks Ability to interact directly with participants and make them feel comfortable and welcome throughout their stay Strong organization and inventory management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a small team Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail) andSlack Typical Schedule:
Programs run 7-10 days, followed by roughly 10 days to reset. Preparation occurs before participants arrive. Between programs the focus is planning, procurement, cleaning, organization, and maintenance. Early mornings, evenings, and weekends are expected during programs. Outside of programs, the schedule follows a standard Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm work week. How To Apply:
